Iraq

Catch 22 Situation that's what the state of the US is in now.

Whether it is worth the risk of more soldiers lives to continue in Iraq or is it better to pull the plug and go?

To pull the plug and go would no doubt means an acknowledgement of failure. The current situation in Iraq, most would like to see it as mirror of Vietnam.

However, this is perfectly wrong. Iraq is not Vietnam, rather, Iraq is more like Vietnam in the terms of mounting casualties and Afghanistan in the view of how instability is most likely the results if US would pull out.

Iraq is not Vietnam in that there is not a strong government that would take over the rein once US pulls out. More than likely, Iraq would disintergrate into 3 counties, the Kurds, Shunnis and Shiities, each with a different agenda to pursue. The break-up would most likely be bloody like (Yugoslavia) and that there would bound to be foreign elements as they seek Iraq to be a battleground for their different agendas.

The removal of Saddam Hussein is a Grave and Big Mistake. Not to mentioned the reasons that this mistake happens. It is not the lack of US might and power. But rather, the lack of transparency and a cow-boy like almost naive mentally in beliving the might of the US army in its ability to push through.

What can I say Bush...

Good Luck.
