Bodhi Big Walk
As some of you probably had known, I was in charge of recruiting marshallers for this Bodhi Big Walk.
The Bodhi Big Walk is actually an annual event to raise fund for the Singapore Buddhist Library. And hence, I guess I am honored and blessed to be given such a row.
This year, the walk is conducted near the Esplanade. The starting point is at the Esplanade and from there, the participants will walk to the Singapore River and then round a hoop back to Esplanade. It is just a 5 click walk.
Except for a morning drizzle, the weather was pretty fine. But frankly speaking, the morning scene at the Singapore River is splendid. Without the usual mingling crowd to content with a cooling river breeze, the place is pretty scenic. Especially when you walk past the stores and they are still closed. It was a pretty good thing to wake up that early and to catch the last of the sun orange hue as it appears from beneath the horizon. Scenic I would say, And perhaps after so much time with people, it is nice to be just appreciate the silent?
Seems like I should be the last guy to talk about appreciating silent because usually I am the noisiest ha-ha… this morning there was no exception. But however, recalling now in my memories it is indeed a sight. How much more beautiful scenery had I missed amidst my endless and nonsensical chatter?
Maybe it is time to keep quiet?
